From worry to purpose
Feeling Overwhelmed? You’re Not Alone. It’s normal to feel daunted in these turbulent times: climate change, war, political chaos — all on top of everyday life. Most of us really want just two things: to live well and to contribute to something bigger than ourselves.
That’s exactly where Positive by Nature comes in: helping you engage with a topic you care about, because it feels good to do so, rather than looking away. And when you do it in a way that truly suits you, it can even enhance your own happiness. Really? Absolutely! Shall we explore how?

How Positive by Nature can help you

Starting by helping you find calm in your mind and body, so you can act from clarity rather than fear. You’ll learn to transform your concerns into meaningful action — aligned with who you are, what excites you, and what suits your life. Using mindfulness, positive psychology, meditation, bodywork, nature immersion, and mindful communication, you’ll cultivate a more positive outlook and deeper satisfaction — and inspire others along the way.
You will learn how to convert your worries into valuable fuel for positive actions. And those actions, you will align them with who you are, what suits you, what makes you enthusiastic. We’ll review all of this using elements from mindfulness, positive psychology, meditation, the law of attraction, bodywork, nature experience, compassion, and connective communication.
The goal is a more positive attitude towards life and greater inner satisfaction. You will experience how meaningful it is to contribute – in your own way – to a future as you envision it. And that your new energy is an inspiration to others.

What's in a Name

The name Positive by Nature has a layered meaning: First, it refers to the natural inclination to have a positive mindset — the ability to see the good in situations. This is an incredibly valuable gift you can offer the world. By focusing consciously on the positive, you not only increase your own happiness, but also create a genuinely positive impact on the world around you. And the best news? Even if positivity doesn’t come naturally to you, it can be learned!
Second, Positive by Nature represents the healing power of the natural world — the source of all life. There is something magical about the calm and space nature provides: the fresh air, the greenery, the simple joy of being outdoors. It does wonders for our physical and mental well-being. But nature offers something more: it reminds us that we are part of something bigger. It helps us clarify our priorities and focus on what really matters. By connecting with this source, we can act from a place of gratitude and love, rather than fear and frustration.
Positive by Nature is more than just a name — it’s an invitation to use this positive energy and connection with nature to make a difference, for yourself and for our beautiful planet.

Meet the founder & trainer of Positive by Nature

Nice to meet you! I’m Harriët van der Weele — or simply harrie. Even as a young girl, I was in love with this beautiful planet and felt deep frustration and confusion about the disrespect with which we treat it. It seemed like people didn’t realize we are part of this delicate ecosystem. That frustration drove me for years to fight against multinationals and their reckless exploitation of natural resources. I literally took to the barricades as part of the international environmental movement.
After a decade of fighting from a place of negativity, I realised the toll it took, and the light I wanted to be for the world was slowly fading. It was not easy to accept that the only thing I truly have influence over is my own actions — and that the energy needed to make a positive difference can only come from calm and connection.
Now I live and work from that same passion for our planet, but with a new approach: not resisting what worries you, but contributing in ways that feel good. Alongside my work as a communications advisor, speaker, and moderator, I am a certified mindfulness trainer, guiding people to do the inner work so vital for the transition to a sustainable society.
